Straightforward & impactful
When it comes to manuals, magazines or catalogs, saddle-stitch booklets are a low-cost and reliable choice. Also called stapled booklets, saddle-stitched binding is compact and affordable. And, with 4-72 internal pages, you have plenty of space to include images, charts and other essential, eye-catching information. Whether you keep them around your business for repeat use or send out a monthly publication, saddle-stitch booklets help keep your customers engaged and informed.
Versatile & informative
With 5 sizes available, our saddle-stitch booklets have something to offer various types of businesses. Share your products and services with one of our standard sizes, or get a sophisticated look for photography and fashion publications with our square booklets. Each of our saddle-stitched booklets includes 4 cover pages (2 in the front, 2 in the back), available in budget, standard or premium matte or glossy paper stock. And, if you choose a premium glossy cover, you can decide to keep a glossy inside paper stock, or switch it up with a low-glare matte surface.
Intuitive design process
Our uploading experience is designed to make it as easy as possible to print your own booklet. To begin, choose your booklet’s size and number of pages, then upload your PDF using our easy upload system. Next, confirm your cover and inside paper stock before you check out. After that, we’ll take care of the rest and make sure your file is correctly formatted and ready to print. Your professionally printed and stapled booklets will arrive looking great and ready to impress.

Saddle stitched means that the booklets are bound with staples. Perfect bound booklets, on the other hand, are bound with glue. Saddle-stitch booklets are considered low-cost and durable, a straightforward choice for an assortment of projects or business needs – we particularly recommend them for price lists, product catalogs, event programs, brochures, pamphlets and magazines. They also work well for restaurants or cafes in need of longer, more detailed menus.
Your stapled booklets can include 8-76 pages – this includes 4 cover pages (front cover, inside front cover, back cover and inside back cover). For example, an 8-page booklet = 4 cover pages + 4 inside pages. You can increase or decrease a stapled booklet’s page count in increments of 4: 12 pages, 16 pages, 20 pages, etc.
No, you’re not required to - you’ll just need to include blank pages in your print-ready PDF. But if you’d like to utilize all the space and add content to all 4 cover pages, you’re welcome to do that, too.
Yes – for a successful print, we recommend following these design tips and upload specifications.
-
Format: Your file needs to be in PDF format – without password protection.
-
Layout: Your file should include single pages, each arranged in the correct reading order. Make sure your file includes all of your pages – including 4 cover pages.
-
Blank Pages: If you want blank inside cover pages, make sure you include blank pages within your PDF file.
-
Colors: Stapled booklets are printed in CMYK. Images provided in RGB or PANTONE colors will be converted.
-
Resolution: 300dpi is the required resolution for stapled booklets. Lower resolutions may affect the printing quality.
-
Bleeds: For an accurate print, include a 1/8" (0.125 in) bleed on every side of every page. If you encounter file upload issues, double-check your bleed – it may exceed the accepted ±0.125 threshold.
-
Margins: Keep all text at least 1 cm from the margins. Anything closer may be too close to the edge (or the binding) to easily read.

Our saddle-stitch booklets are available in matte or glossy, with budget, standard or premium cover paper thicknesses available.
Note that you can combine standard or premium glossy cover paper with matte inside paper. Otherwise, the cover paper stock and inside paper stock will be the same. All inside paper has budget (80lb.) thickness.
